More food!

So, this is what I made for dinner… and let me tell you, I felt like a culinary genius when I ate this. I should seriously have my own show on Food Network or something.

…AHAHA, no, not really. But, this was really good, so I’ll tell you how I made it. It was very simple, and I think that one main ingredient that I used that I usually don’t use made all the difference. And that ingredient was…

…drumroll, please…

……basil! Yes, I tend to only use basic in my spaghetti sauces, but I think I’ll have to use it more often from now on.

This chicken is very simple to prepare, and it comes out moist and flavorful. To start, marinate a boneless chicken breast with extra-virgin olive oil, pepper, garlic powder, and whatever seasonings you like for a little while. Throw some onion and mushroom in a pan over medium heat (with a little veggie oil, of course), and cook those until they’re nicely browned. Add some pepper, garlic powder, and olive oil, then throw in some carrot and red, yellow, and orange pepper… and some chicken broth! Put in as much basil as you like here (and maybe more pepper and garlic powder!) and let it simmer for a minute or three. Throw in some green onion and cook for a minute more, and then throw this wonderful combo of veggies and magic into a nice little foil pocket with the chicken breast. Seal it up well, and about 25 minutes at 350F should give you a super-moist chicken breast full of flavor, surrounded by tender, juicy, delicious veggies~!
